ATHENS, Ga. - Incoming freshman Savannah Scott took home her second World Championship at the 75th Appaloosa Youth World Show. Scott took home the title in Bareback Horsemanship, defeating 41 of the top competitors in the world.

Earlier this week, Scott won the Youth Trail Class, outscoring 34 qualifiers.

"I am so excited to have won two World Titles this week," Scott said. "I have been working hard and putting in a lot of practice and to see it come together is really exciting! I can't wait to build off of this and compete for Georgia this fall."

With the addition of these two World Championships, Savannah has amassed well over 20 World Championships, multiple Reserve World Championships and numerous top ten placings in her career.

"Savannah is a one in a million and I am thrilled and honored to have her be a member of our elite team here at Georgia," associate head coach Mary Meneely said. She is a true difference maker."

Savannah trains daily, works out, enjoys yoga, and is very familiar with the importance of mental preparation in the sport of equestrian.
