ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia equestrian team added its latest member of the 2012 spring signing class when Emily DuPont signed her National Letter of Intent.
“Emily has some experience riding in a format that is similar to NCEA equestrian competition from her year at the Madeira School,” assistant coach Lisa Anderson said. “During her time there, she also has the opportunity to compete on a variety of horses. Her riding skills, coupled with her academic success make her a perfect fit at Georgia. We are excited to have her join this program.”
DuPont comes to Georgia having won at WEF in 2011. She has a history of great mileage in the junior hunter ring, as well as in the equitation divisions. The Wilmington, Del., native’s achievements extend into the classroom, where she is known for her academic success.
DuPont has been focusing on her hunter and equitation skills, as evident from her performances at some of the most prestigious AA shows in the nation.
Emily is the daughter of John and Marion DuPont.
