ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia equestrian team has signed Kendall Fately to the spring 2012 signing class.

"We are so happy to have Kendall joining us next year," assistant coach Lisa Anderson said. "She's a smart rider and a great competitor and I believe she will be a real asset to our team.

A Basking Ridge, N.J., native, Fately has been riding her entire life. In 2010, Fately was awarded the Dora Hamilton Equitation at the Tewksbury Farm Horseshow.

In 2011, Fately was selected to show at both the USEF Medal Finals and the Maclay National Championship Finals. She competed well and had strong showings at both events to conclude 2011.

Kendall is the daughter of Andrew and Julie Fately, who is also a USEF competitor.
