Inclement Weather Forces Schedule Change at SEC Championship

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. - Due to the threat of inclement weather on Saturday, March 28, changes have been made to the schedule of the Southeastern Conference Equestrian Championship at OneWood Farm in Blythewood, S.C.

The championship round, featuring second-seeded Georgia and top-seeded South Carolina, will begin at 8:30 a.m. The consolation round, featuring third-seeded Auburn and fourth-seeded Texas A&M, will tentatively begin at 1:10 p.m. The awards ceremony, including SEC Championship trophy presentation, will take place following the consolation round of competition.

The Bulldogs advanced to the championship round after defeating Auburn 12-8 on Friday. The Bulldogs posted event wins in Reining, Equitation Over Fences and Horsemanship. Georgia also got MOP-winning rides by Liza Finsness (Equitation Over Fences) and Sara Parr (Horsemanship).
