ATHENS, Ga. -The third-ranked University of Georgia equestrian team gets back in action on Saturday, Jan. 26 when its heads to Fresno, Calif., to take on the Fresno State Bulldogs at 1 p.m. ET. Saturday's meet is the first time the two teams have faced one another since former Georgia standout Collins Daye was named the head coach of Fresno State.

"We are really excited to go out to Fresno," head coach Meghan Boenig said. "It is a fun place to travel to and this is the first time we get to see our former rider Collins Daye coach her team. We are also excited that we get the chance to ride some new horses, test some patterns and face a really strong team. We have some momentum that we want to build on and starting off strong is extremely important to us. The ladies have been practicing extremely well and we are anxious to show off what we can do and set the tone for the semester."

Georgia is 6-0 against Fresno State in a series that dates back to 2005. The Bulldogs won the last meeting 17-1 during their 11-meet win streak last season. Saturday is the first time Georgia has traveled to Fresno, Calif., since the 2008-09 season when the Bulldogs came away with a 9-7 win.

The Bulldogs ended the fall schedule with a 3-3 record, including wins over Texas A&M, Baylor and New Mexico State. Georgia started off the season with a 17-5 win over then-No. 1 Texas A&M that was followed by a 14-10 win over then-No. 5 Baylor. Georgia dropped meets to South Carolina, Auburn and South Dakota State before closing out the fall schedule with a 12-4 win over New Mexico State.

Anthony was also named the November Southeastern Conference Rider of the Month after going 3-1, with each of her wins coming on the road. Dorey has outscored her competitors by 11.2 points and is averaging a score of 80.5. Anthony has also seen success in Equitation Over Fences, riding to a 4-2 record and two MOP honors.

Taking MOP honors in two of her three meets, both over ranked teams, Salazar went 3-0 in November, including two road wins, averaging a score of 70.2 and winning each of her rides by an average of 3.8 points.

In Reining, McKenzie Lantz is Georgia's top performer, finishing the fall schedule with a 5-1 record, one MOP honor and an average score of 70.2.
