ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Georgia equestrian team shined not only in the ring, but also in the classroom. The Bulldogs combined for a 3.16 cumulative GPA during the fall, the fourth-best among all Georgia teams. In addition, 49 equestrians were named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the fall semester. 

Among those named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll were Morgan Justiss, Maria Salazar, Kate Skoglund, Rachel Stallman and Ali Sullivan, all of whom recorded a 4.0 GPA. 

Nicki Alexander, Carly Anthony, Kylee Arbuckle, Samantha Baker, Morgan Beavers, Samantha Belcher, Madi Berger, Honey Beth Campbell, Melanie Carraway, Olivia Dorey, Faith Fiorenzano, Leylan Gleeson, Allison Haspel, Julia Hemingway, Jacklyn Hoyt, Isabel Jolicoeur, Rachel Kolb, McKenzie Lantz, Selby Merritt, Anna Sasser, Paige Stawicki, Kelsey Thatcher and Brittlan Wall all earned between a 3.50-3.99 GPA.

Louise Ashley, Jaclyn Beckley, Caroline Blackshear, Michelina Carbone, Madi Clark, Sydney Crenshaw, Emily DuPont, Jenny Freeman, Audrey Gallagher, Olivia Gaude, Becca Haaland, Megan Hawkins, Carly Lambros, Brittany Lynch, Laura Malone, Sara Parr, Heather Schmidt, Megan Southam, Morgan Stamey, Lauren Tieche and Megan Yeager rounded out the equestrian’s on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, finishing the fall semester with a GPA between 3.00-3.49.

Georgia returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 26 against Fresno State in Fresno, Calif. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
