March 8, 2017

ATHENS, Ga. — Que Morrison, a top recruit who signed with the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball program last November, continues to etch her name among some of the top players in the nation, placing on the 2017 Naismith High School Girls All-America Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced on Wednesday.

The Georgia native is one of just 15 players nationwide to place on the list, earning a third-team nod. In addition to five first team, second team and third team picks, 14 players were honored as honorable mention selections.

Morrison, who preps at Powder Springs, Ga., powerhouse McEachern High School, leads her team in points, assists and steals, while ranking second in blocks and rebounds. Currently, she is averaging 13.7 points, 5.9 assists, 3.7 steals and 6.9 boards for the Indians.

The five-star prospect has led McEachern High School to a 25-6 overall record, a Region 3AAAAAAA title and a shot at yet another state championship this coming Saturday. Earlier this week, Morrison was named honorable mention All-America by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

Morrison is one of four players in Georgia’s star-studded 2017 class that ranks No. 10 in the nation according to ESPN.com. The Lady Bulldogs signed four highly-touted recruits during the early signing period, including five-star guards Morrison and Gabby Connally, four-star guard Maya Caldwell and four-star forward Malury Bates. Each player is ranked in the top-15 at her position nationally.
