Georgia's Lady Bulldogs take to the road tonight to face a South Carolina team which features perhaps the tallest rotation in the SEC. That's a trait Andy Landers thought his team might display during the 2005-06 season...until Georgia lost four post players measuring 6-6, 6-5, 6-3 and 6-2 before the regular-season opener. "They're huge, and we're not," Landers said. "All of our big kids are hurt so it becomes a magnified challenge when you look at the size of South Carolina. And it's not only the size, it's how well those big kids are shooting it." Much more than South Carolina's height worries Landers. "The thing that is deceiving about South Carolina is their record," Landers said. "They've lost to quality basketball teams. They've been beaten by Purdue. They've been beaten by Texas, Tennessee, LSU, Vanderbilt, Kentucky at Kentucky. All of a sudden, they've got all these losses and if you're not careful, your basketball team thinks that they're not competitive when indeed they are very competitive. This is not the South Carolina of a year ago. This is a South Carolina basketball team with juniors who are ready to go." Big week on tap Playing on the road in the SEC is always a daunting task, a challenge Georgia gets to face twice this week at South Carolina tonight and at Florida on Sunday. "I think, to date, it's the most important week of our Southeastern Conference schedule because not only are we going on the road to play two games this week, we're playing two very good basketball teams in South Carolina and Florida," Landers said.
