ATHENS, Ga. --- The University of Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team will be hosting Girl Scout and Girl Power Days on Sunday, Jan. 13 and Sunday, Jan. 20.
UGA female student-athletes will speak to attendees about being healthy, being a good student, not bullying, being a good friend and being a leader.
The Girl Scout Day will be Jan. 13 and the program will take place prior to the UGA vs. South Carolina women's basketball game. Registration will take place from 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. and the program will last from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. At 12:30 p.m., attendees will pick up lunches and exit to attend the game, which has a 1:00 p.m. tipoff time.
Speakers for Jan. 13 include Tori Allen (soccer), Emilie Burger (women's golf), Nicole Choi (volleyball), Noel Couch (Gymnastics), Maria Salazar (equestrian) and Ali Sullivan (Equestrian).
The Girl Power Day will be Jan. 20, prior to the UGA vs. Texas A&M women's basketball game. Registration will be from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. and the program will take place from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., attendees will be given lunch and exit to attend the game, which has a 5:00 p.m. tipoff time.
Speakers for Jan. 20 include Noel Couch (gymnastics), Julia Hemingway (equestrian) and Maria Salazar (equestrian).
Single-game reserved seat tickets for Lady Bulldog home games are $5 for adults and $3 for children. Single-game tickets are available at the UGA Ticket Office at the Butts-Mehre from 8:30-4:30 weekdays, via georgiadogs.com, by calling the UGA Ticket Office at 877-542-1621 or at the Stegeman Coliseum box office (closest to Sanford Drive) beginning 60 minutes before tip-off.
UGA students, faculty and staff are admitted to all Lady Bulldog games free of charge with a valid UGA Card. Faculty and staff should pick up tickets at the Coliseum box office. Students are admitted to the arena via the entrance to the left of the box office by showing their UGA Card.
