◊ Georgia's lone senior in 2008-09 who was elected the Lady Bulldogs' co-captain - along with Ashley Houts - in balloting of teammates in the spring of 2008.
◊ Made the most of her senior season, combining the physical attributes that brought her to Athens as a tall perimeter prospect with three seasons of working to develop into a much-needed low-post presence.
2008-09 Season
◊ Tabbed by fullcourtpress.com as on the SEC's "Golden Lunch Bucket" players, for her "can do" attitude and "nose-to-the-grindstone" work ethic.
◊ Notched eight double-digit scoring nights as a senior...versus two such performances in 59 games played during her first three seasons.
◊ Averaged 7.0 points per game, more than tripling her career scoring average (3.2 ppg) entering the year.
◊ Provided a very solid and consistent boost on the offensive end - her 10-15 foot jumper has been money and she's effective on the block as well - and more than doubled her point production from a year ago.
◊ Scored the first six points of a 15-2 first-half run against Eastern Washington that helped Georgia build a commanding 29-14 lead in the championship game of the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-up.
◊ Georgia's leading scorer in two of the final three games of the 2008 calendar - at UAB on Dec. 20 and vs. Xavier on Dec. 30.
◊ Earned the first start of her career against South Carolina on Jan. 11 and scored UGA's first four points en route to a victory.
◊ Recorded her first double-figure SEC performance as a Lady Bulldogs with 15 points at Alabama.
◊ Poured in a SEC-career-best 20 points at Vanderbilt in a career-high 33 minutes of playing time.
◊ Stellar outing on her "Senior Day" with 12 first-half points against No. 17 Florida.
2007-08 Season
◊ Rebounded quite nicely from a sophomore slump to make significant contributions both on and off the court as a junior.
◊ Made her personal goal to put forth extreme effort and make the most of every minute played.
◊ To that end, suffered a concussion shortly after checking into the Lady Dogs' exhibition opener on Nov. 1 versus DT3-Atlanta when she took a knee to the chin from teammate Ashley Houts while diving for a loose ball near midcourt.
◊ Cleared to return to practice on Nov. 11 and saw her first regular-season action against Georgia Southern.
◊ Enjoyed a career night against Mercer when her 22-point outburst not only doubled her previous career high (11 vs. Savannah State as Dec. 10, 2005 as a freshman), it also represented more points than she scored in all off 2006-07 (7 points) and the first nine games of this season (10 points) combined.
◊ Also recorded career-best tallies for rebounds, steals and minutes played versus Mercer.
◊ Her 10 field goals made against Mercer represented the highest single-game tallies of any Lady Bulldog for much of the 2007-08 campaign until Tasha Humphrey connected on 13 against Florida on Feb. 14.
2006-07 Season
◊ Probably most excited about the arrival of former Beach High School teammate Christy Marshall in 2006.
◊ Taylor and Marshall have played together since they were 7-8 years old and doing so at Savannah's Delaware Recreaction Center.
◊ Missed the first several games of the season due to suspension before seeing action at Richmond.
◊ Saw action in 12 contests, including four of five post-season contests for the Lady Bulldogs. ◊ Scored her first points during SEC play at Florida.
◊ Posted her second double-digit minute outing - and first of the year in SEC play - at Alabama.
2005-06 Season
◊ Originally expected to be a big guard for the Lady Bulldogs on the perimeter, but the loss of four post players during the pre-season forced her inside to an exclusive slot at the `4' spot.
◊ Solid contributor in both of the Lady Dogs' exhibition wins, averaging 10.0 points and connecting on 8-of-14 (.571) field goals.
◊ Scored 11 points in Georgia's exhibition opener against Augusta State.
◊ Produced back-to-back career highs from minutes played, points and steals in wins over Iona and Savannah State.
◊ Reached double digits for the first time during the regular season with an 11-point effort against hometown foe Savannah State.
◊ Chipped in quite nicely in the first half of the SEC opener, knocking down her first two jumpers at Ole Miss.
◊ Extremely active in the final minute of the Hartford game, taking three shots and collecting two rebounds in the limited time.
High School
◊ Coached by Ronald Booker at Beach High.
◊ Georgia's first signee from Beach, a longtime power which has produced approximately one Division I player a year during Booker's 20-plus seasons there.
◊ Led Beach to a combined 52-8 record during her junior and senior seasons, as well as Region 3-AAAAA titles and the quarterfinals of the State Tournament.
◊ Selected first-team All-State for Class AAAAA in 2005 by both the Georgia Sports Writers Association and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
◊ As a senior, named the Savannah Morning News' All-Greater Savannah Area Girls' Player of the Year and WTOC TV's Savannah Player of the Year.
◊ Knocked down five threes en route to a game-high 27 points and MVP honors for the South team in the 2005 Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-Star game.
◊ As a senior, averaged 20.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 4.0 steals and 3.0 blocks per game for Beach, which finished the season 27-3.
◊ As a junior, averaged 18.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while helping the Bulldogs compile a 25-5 final record.
◊ As a sophomore, helped Beach to a 23-5 record and the second round of the Georgia Class AAAAA State Tournament.
Personal:
◊ Born August 11, 1987, Danielle is the daughter of Larrye Cheaves.
◊ Major: Social Work.
◊ Recipient of the Vincent J. and Barbara Dooley Scholarship for 2008-09.
