Shannon Becker joined the UGA Athletic Association's sports medicine staff in July 2006 and is in her seventh season serving as the athletic trainer for the Lady Bulldogs.
Becker also has aquired additional experience working with the USOC, USA Basketball and USA Field Hockey. She served as the athletic trainer for the U.S. National Team that won the Gold Medal in women's basektball at the 2011 World University Games in China.
Previously, Becker served as a graduate assistant at Connecticut from 2004-06, working with the women's soccer, softball and men's and women's track and field teams, while also assisting with women's basketball.
Becker received her bachelor's of science degree in athletic training from the Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2004 and her master's degree in exercise science from Connecticut in 2006. During 2002 and 2003 she served as an intern for the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx.
Becker, a native of Eagan, Minn., received certification as an athletic trainer and as a strength and conditioning specialist in 2004. An avid runner, Becker is engaged to marry Sam Dolezal in May 2013.
