ATHENS, Ga. --- The NCAA will announce the fields of 64 for the upcoming Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships tomorrow, Tues., May 1. The women’s selection show will begin at 5 p.m. ET followed by the men’s announcement at 5:30 p.m. Both will stream live on NCAA.com.
Complete team brackets – including regional round sites – will be posted on the NCAA websites (www.NCAA.com and www.NCAA.org) after the completion of the show. The fields for the individual singles and doubles portion of the tournament will be announced no later than 6 p.m. ET on Wed., May 2.
First and second round regional action will be played May 11-13 at 16 campus sites. The later rounds as well as the individual singles and doubles tournament are set for May 17-28, to be hosted at the University of Georgia’s Dan Magill Tennis Complex for a record 30th time.
The second-ranked Georgia men’s tennis team (23-2) has already locked up its 34th bid to the NCAA Championships by virtue of winning the SEC Tournament. The six-time national champion Bulldogs have reached the title match in three of the last six years and advanced to the semifinals last season in Palo Alto, Calif.
