ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia men’s tennis team enters next week’s Southeastern Conference Championships as the top seed and will enjoy a double bye, the league office officially announced tonight. The Bulldogs will take on the winner of the No. 8 Vanderbilt-No. 9 Auburn second round match in the quarterfinals on Fri., April 18 at 4 p.m. ET in Nashville.
The Bulldogs (16-6, 11-1) on Sunday clinched the regular season SEC title outright with a 4-0 shutout on the road at Auburn – the program’s conference-leading 37th overall title.
Live scoring and the Georgia Tennis Live Chat will be available throughout the Bulldogs' run in the tournament. The semifinals are set for Sat., April 19 and the finals for Sun., April 20, at Vanderbilt’s Currey Tennis Center.
Georgia has won the last two tournament titles and a total of nine.
