ATHENS, Ga. --- The Georgia men's tennis team's singles and doubles participants suffered losses on Friday in round of 16 action at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex, officially ending the 2013-14 season for the Bulldogs.
Junior Nathan Pasha fell to second-seeded Marcos Giron of UCLA, 7-6(4), 6-3, while the doubles duo of Ben Wagland and Hernus Pieters suffered a 6-3, 7-6(3) loss to Oklahoma State's team of Arjun Kadhe and Jakob Sude.
No. 30 Pasha won his first two matches in the singles tournament to reach the round of 16, concluding his singles campaign with a 28-14 record on the year including a first team All-SEC nod and the first ITA All-America honors of his career. He heads into his senior season with 94 victories. Eighth-ranked Pieters and Wagland won their first round match on Thursday night before today's loss, finishing their season with a record of 21-11 and a second straight All-America honor by virtue of their No. 5-8 seeding.
As a team, Georgia reached the NCAA round of 16 with an overall record of 18-8.
