BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The top-ranked Georgia men's golf team placed fourth on Tuesday at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate being played at Old Overton Golf Club.
The Bulldogs closed with a 7-under 277 to finish at 19-under 833. Augusta State claimed the team title at 27-under 825.
Georgia was led by junior Kevin Kisner, who finished in a tie for third individually at 7-under 206, including a final-round 7-under 64. Kisner wound up just three strokes behind medalist Kalle Edberg of Augusta State (203).
Sophomore Brendon Todd finished 16th after carding a 2-over 73 to finish the tournament at 4-under 209. Junior Richard Scott also recorded a 73 on Tuesday, giving him a three-round figure of 2-under 211. Sophomore Chris Kirk checked in at even-par 213 following his third-round 2-under 69. Senior David Denham rounded out the Bulldogs' lineup with a 1-over 214, capped by Tuesday's even-par 71.
Georgia will return to action Oct. 25-26 at the inaugural Isleworth Invitational in Orlando, Fla.
