Georgia Golfers Leading Linger Longer Invitational

GREENSBORO --- The top-ranked Georgia men’s golf team is in first place after two rounds of the Linger Longer Invitational.

On Friday at Reynolds Landing, the Bulldogs and the rest of the teams in the field played 36 holes, with Georgia posting loops of 3-over 291 and even-par 288 for a total of 3-over 579. Georgia is tied with Oklahoma State and they have a six-shot lead over Wichita State.

Sophomore Harris English paced the Bulldogs on Friday, shooting a 3-under 69 and 2-under 70 for a 5-under 139. English is in second place individually, one stroke behind Mercer’s Bill Jones.

Sophomore Russell Henley is tied for eighth at even-par 144, while senior Adam Mitchell is 12th at 2-over 146, junior Hudson Swafford is tied for 29th at 6-over 150 and senior Brian Harman is tied for 39th at 9-over 153.

Playing as individuals, senior Michael Green is tied for fourth at 2-under 142 and freshman Will Kropp is tied for 34th at 8-over 152.
