The Georgia men's golf team will head to Statesboro, Ga., for the Chris Schenkel/E-Z-GO Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The event, made up of 36 holes on Saturday and 18 on Sunday, will be played at Forest Heights Country Club. The Bulldogs are the two-time defending team champion.

Scheduled to join the Bulldogs in Statesboro are Georgia Southern (the tournament's host school), Auburn, Augusta State, Clemson, Duke, East Tennessee State, Florida, LSU, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wake Forest and Washington.

HAACK TO LEAD U.S.:
Georgia men's golf coach Chris Haack has been named coach of the 2002 U.S. Palmer Cup Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Haack will lead the eight members of Team USA against their counterparts from Great Britain and Ireland in the match-play event to be held July 8-12 at Doonbeg Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland.
