PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - The No. 3-ranked Georgia men's golf team placed 10th on Tuesday at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships.
The Bulldogs finished at 38-over 902, including a final-round 10-over 298. South Carolina took team honors at 3-under 861, winning by a margin of 27 shots.
Junior David Denham paced the Bulldogs at 6-over 222, ending with a 1-over 73 on Tuesday. Denham tied for 18th, 11 shots behind medalist Jason Hartwick of Texas.
Sophomore Kevin Kisner followed Denham at 8-over 224 as he closed with a 2-under 70, giving him consecutive sub-par rounds. Sophomore Richard Scott fired an 8-over 80 on Tuesday to finish at 11-over 227. Freshman Chris Kirk's final-round 5-over 77 gave him a three-day total of 17-over 233, while sophomore Taylor Crosby (6-over 78 on Tuesday) wound up at 24-over 240.
Georgia will return to action Feb. 22-24 at the Puerto Rico Classic.
