LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- The No. 14-ranked Georgia men's golf team carded a 10-over 298 in Saturday's second round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters. That tally was seven strokes better than the Bulldogs' first-round effort but just moved them up just one spot on the team leaderboard to 11th.
Georgia enters Sunday's final round at 603.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs counted a 73 from Russell Henley, a 74 from Michael Cromie, a 75 from Hudson Swafford and a 76 from Bryden Macpherson and dropped Harris English's 77.
Overall, Henley and Cromie are tied for 24th at 149, Swafford is tied for 41st at 152, English is tied for 55th at 154 and MacPherson is tied for 67th at 157.
No. 23 Cal fired a 12-under 276 on Saturday to move atop the leaderboard at 570. The Bears are six shots ahead of No. 11 Texas A&M.
The individual leader is Texas A&M's Jordan Russell at 9-under 135, two shots better than Oklahoma State's Morgan Hoffman.
