Freshman tailback Keith Marshall became one half of a record setting backfield. Along with Todd Gurley the pair of freshmen totaled 2,031 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns. Marshall accounted for 743 of those yards and 8 of the touchdowns good for second on the team in both categories. Marshall also caught 8 passes for 52 yards. Marshall's biggest game of the year was when he put up 164 rushing yards an two touchdowns over Tennessee on just 10 carries. Marshall ripped off long touchdown runs of 75 and 72 yards. Marshall also topped the hundred yard mark against FAU with 104 and a touchdown and Auburn with 105 yards and a score. Marshall scored multiple touchdowns agains Vanderbilt where he put up 82 yards and 2 scores and also against rival Georgia Tech when he rushed for 66 yards and a pair of TDs.
