Besides bowl games, this is the 10th time under Mark Richt, that Georgia has been scheduled to face a team for the first time and so far leading up to this one, Bulldogs have won each one. This has been the only time that Georgia has faced these teams.
Georgia has fared well in the past with teams with the word "Carolina" in it. The Bulldogs are a combined 71-29-5 against these teams.
One of Aaron Murray's good moments in the South Carolina game happened when he broke his own record for TD passes in a game with 4. The record by a Georgia QB is 5 held by 4 players (Joe Cox, Matthew Stafford, D.J. Shockley and David Greene). A Bulldog has thrown 4 in a game 11 more times. Out of the 15 times a player has thrown 4 or more only 5 times it has been done by a sophomore. A freshman has never done it. Here are the 2nd-year guys.
With those 4 TD passes, Aaron Murray has 30 in his career. He accomplished this feat after just 15 games. Here are the top-5 quarterbacks in terms of career TD passes at Georgia and how long it took them to reach number 30. (remember bowl games stats didn't start counting until 2002) Career TD passes Games to reach 30
Freshman Isaiah Crowell ran for 118 yards in just his 2nd career game. Here are the last 4 players in Georgia history to reach 1,000 yards in a season and a 5th player named "Herschel" and how many games it took them to have a 100-yard game in their career and who it came against. (this is not a list of the quickest to a 100-yard game)
If you look at Isaiah Crowell and Knowshon Moreno, their stats are pretty close after 2 games.
Crowell had one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown in the last game. That was the 7th time a player has done that under Mark Richt. Here are the players who accomplished this feat.
Brandon Boykin, who is already the all-time leader in career kickoff return yards for Georgia had one of his best individual games last week vs South Carolina. Here are his top-3 games in terms of kickoff return yards in one game.
(190 yards is the Georgia record held by Scott Woerner) Boykin also had an interception on defense. He has 7 career interceptions. Here are all 7 of them and the quarterbacks he picked off-
Bacarri Rambo also had an interception. He has 6 career interceptions of his own. Here they are and the quarterbacks as well.
Blair Walsh is currently in 3rd place for most career points by any player in Georgia history and with 2 more field goals last week he moved into 4th place for the most career field goals by a Bulldog. Here are those top-5 leaders in field goals.

| SOCCER | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Georgia is currently on a 4-game win streak including two wins last week that both came against in-state competition (Mercer and Georgia State). In the history of the soccer program at UGA, the Bulldogs have dominated all in-state competition. Here are the records against Peach State teams and their goals for and against.

| VOLLEYBALL | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Georgia just wrapped up their non-conference part of their schedule. As they head into SEC play, one of their team-leaders has been senior Carla Tietz. She just became the 5th Bulldog to reach 1,300 career digs. She is also 1 of 4 Bulldogs to lead Georgia in digs 3 seasons in a row. (Laurie Henderson, Nikki Nicholson, Luresa Forsythe are the others). No one has done it 4 seasons in a row. She is currently 4th on the team with 51 this season. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| WOMEN'S GOLF | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Georgia women's golf team finished in a tie for 4th (out of 22) at the Cougar Classic in Charleston, South Carolina to start the 2010-2011 season. Freshman Rocio Sanchez Lobato led the Bulldogs by finishing in a tie for 6th. She was the 2nd highest freshmen of any of the competitors. In Georgia's history they have had 8 SEC Freshman of the Year winners with the last being current teammate and fellow Spaniard Marta Silva Zamora. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| BULLDOGS IN THE NFL | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In the first week of the season, former Bulldog Matthew Stafford has one of his better games of his career. His 305 passing yards against the Buccaneers was his 2nd highest as a pro. Here are his top-3.
(his highest at Georgia was 407 yards which came against Georgia Tech in 2008) In his first career NFL game A.J. Green had a 41-yard touchdown reception. It came on his first career catch. He has a long way to go to reach the top-6 for career TD receptions in the NFL by former Georgia Bulldogs. The reason I chose the top-6 instead of top-5 should be obvious.
(Herschel also had 7 career TD receptions in USFL and 3 while a Georgia Bulldog) Another former Bulldog that had a big game in week one was Richard Seymour. The former first round pick had 2 sacks against the Denver Broncos in the Raiders victory. Here are the top-4 leaders in most career sacks in the NFL by former Georgia Bulldogs.

| BULLDOGS IN BASEBALL (MLB) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Former Georgia pitcher Mitchell Boggs is having one of his better seasons as a pro this year pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals. Through Tuesday's games, the right-hander has a 3.63 ERA and 4 saves. He is 1 of 6 Bulldogs ever to notch a save in the majors. He knows the man who is number two on this list real well, Derek Lilliquist. Lilliquist has been the fill-in pitching coach for the Cards as we head down the stretch. Here are the players that have saves in the majors that also played for the Dawgs and how many they had or have in their career.

| BULLDOGS IN BASEBALL (MINORS) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Former Georgia pitcher Bulldog Trevor Holder was a 3rd round pick by the Washington Nationals in the 2009 MLB amateur draft. This season he pitched in High-A level for the Potomac Nationals of the Carolina League. He didn't have his best season finishing with a 5.77 ERA, but as the season went on he improved dramatically. In the first half of the year he had a 6.14 ERA, while the second half he had a 3.86 ERA and in the Carolina league playoffs against the Frederick Keys, the right-hander allowed zero runs on one hit in 5 1/3 innings pitched. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| BULLDOGS IN TENNIS (ATP) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| After reaching the quarterfinals in any grand slam for the first time at the US Open, John Isner moved up in the ATP standings and now sits in 18th place. This ties the highest mark he has ever had in his career. He was also 18th in July of 2010. He is currently ranked 34th in doubles with his best ever ranking coming in June of 2010 when he was 27th. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| BULLDOGS IN GOLF (CHAMPIONS TOUR) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Former Bulldog and PGA Tour great Chip Beck is having one of his best year's on the Champions Tour. Last month he had his first career Top-10 in a Champions Tour major and and he had back-to-back Top-10 finishes for the first time since his first year back on this tour back in 2006. |
