Over 4,000 Turn Out for Annual UGA Picture Day

Interviews with several coaches and student-athletes at Saturday's annual Picture Day event

ATHENS -- An estimated crowd of 4,436 turned out Saturday for the annual University of Georgia football fans' picture day at Sanford Stadium.

Head coach Mark Richt, mascot Uga IX, the entire football team, and teams from many other Bulldog sports were available for photos and autographs.

Other UGA teams participating included baseball, men's basketball, equestrian, women's golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis, track & field, cross country and volleyball.

Special tickets were distributed beginning at 10 a.m. for photos with Richt and Uga IX. Alexa Anderson of Covington was the first person in line for Uga IX arriving at 11 p.m. Friday night. Jason Adams of Statham was first in line for the Coach Richt ticket. He arrived Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m.
