ATHENS, Ga. --- Fans attending this weekend's G-Day football game will experience intermittent wireless service in Sanford Stadium due to an ongoing project to upgrade the distributed antenna systems (DAS) in the stadium by multiple vendors.
The wireless communications project will be completed prior to the Bulldogs' season opener against Clemson on August 30, 2014. Until that time, service will be limited.
"We apologize for this inconvenience," said Greg McGarity, UGA's J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics. "However, the end result will be a wireless service that will greatly enhance the experience for our fans in Sanford Stadium this fall."
