Georgia Practices for the Ninth Time this Spring

April 3, 2014

ATHENS, Ga.--The Georgia football team practiced for two hours at the Woodruff Practice Fields under clear skies Thursday afternoon.

Thursday's practice marked the Bulldogs' ninth of the spring. Georgia will practice five more times, in addition to the annual G-Day scrimmage.

Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo talked about the leadership of rising sophomore tailback Todd Gurley, specifically his level of play this spring.

"Todd has done a good job," Bobo said. "He's been practicing like a great player should. He did a nice job today, breaking a long run at the end of practice. When he practices hard, it does a lot for our football team. It shows leadership and he's been doing a really good job of that in the first nine practices."

Defensive Coordinator Jeremy Pruitt was asked about the energy level at spring practice so far.

"You look at [Coach Tracy Rocker], [Coach Kevin Sherrer] and [Coach Mike Ekeler] and you watch those guys coach," Pruitt said. "They're flying around the field. They're getting after their guys. They're very demanding."

Georgia will next hit the practice field on Saturday morning. The annual G-Day Game will be on Saturday, April 12, at 1 p.m.
