With the William C. Hartman Jr. Fund deadline of February 15th fast approaching The Georgia Bulldog Club is asking donors to Commit To The G with a gift to the UGA football seating priority program. This fall, through its monthly e-newsletter, The Georgia Bulldog Club asked over 12,000 donors with an active email address what Commit To the G means to them. Various donors responded discussing their passion for UGA athletics and their desire to financially assist the young women and men of Georgia.
"To me, Commit To The G means you stand behind the Dawgs no matter what," said Britt Brinson of Cordele, GA. "My ten-year-old son asked me a few weeks ago who my favorite Dawg is. I quickly told him they're all my favorites, because they are the Dawgs."
For some Bulldog faithful, Commit To The G also means taking the show on the road.
"Being retired has enhanced my support, and I have a proud since of passion for all the programs," shared EC "Butch" Thurman of Lakemont, GA. "I hope my health will stay strong, and I can keep following the Dawgs for many years to come."
Many donors to The Georgia Bulldog Club have been loyal UGA fans for quite some time. John Andreano, of Rochester, NY, has been a fan since the day his parents bought him a Georgia Bulldogs t- shirt.
"I have been a fan since I was eight or nine," says the now 41-year-old Andreano. "When I was in school my parents saw me watching my first UGA football game as a child. On a short vacation they brought me back a shirt with Uga's face on it. I have been a UGA fan since, and try to do what I can for the G."
The athletic accolades, which come with successful programs, are always welcome. Yet many of The Georgia Bulldog Club members make annual contributions for several reasons.
"Commit To The G means watching these fine young student-athletes define themselves as the best of the best in their sport and in academics, " said Keith Davis of West Point, GA. "These kids carry the red and black with them when they represent UGA."
With only one month before the February 15th William C. Hartman, Jr. Fund deadline, you also have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of nearly 600 UGA student-athletes. The Georgia Bulldog Club asks all current donors to renew and consider increasing your donation to further enhance the lives of these young men and women. New donors are encouraged to Commit To The G at any giving level.
