ATHENS -- University of Georgia cornerback Brandon Boykin of Fayetteville and offensive guard Cordy Glenn of Riverdale have both decided to return for their senior year with the Bulldogs.

"This is exciting news for Georgia and for Brandon and Cordy," said UGA head coach Mark Richt. "I think they have both made wise decisions for the right reasons and will be important senior leaders for us this coming year. We're recruiting 24/7 right now but these two are a big part of our 'recruiting class.'"

"After meeting with my family and coaches, I was able to put a lot of things into perspective," said Boykin. "First of all, I want to be part of getting Georgia back into the championship hunt. Coming back will also give me a chance to get my degree before entering the draft and another year of experience will only make me a better player as well."

Boykin has played in 39 games over the past three years including 24 starts. He has recorded 104 total tackles and six career interceptions. His three career 100-yard kickoff returns make him the only player in SEC history with three 100-yard plays of any kind. He also ranks No. 1 in school history for career kickoff return yards with 1,813 on 72 returns and four TDs (his four kickoff return TDs ties an SEC record).

"I want to come back for several reasons including helping our team get back on track to where we want to be," said Glenn. "Coming back will also give me a chance to improve my draft stock and get closer to my degree which is important to me and my family."

Glenn has started 34 games including a team-leading 32 straight among 2011 offensive returnees. He was also part of an offense that scored more than 30 points in seven consecutive games in 2010 including against five SEC opponents, a school record.
