NFL PLAYOFFS - FIRST ROUND
Geno Atkins, DT, Cincinnati Bengals
Started at DT and had three tackles in the Bengals’ 19-13 loss at Houston. Atkins had 53 tackles in the regular season and tied for sixth in the NFL with 12.5 sacks.
Champ Bailey, CB, Denver Broncos
Bailey and the Broncos received a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Bailey, who was voted to the Pro Bowl, has started all 16 games this season and registered 66 tackles and a pair of interceptions. The Broncos will play host to Baltimore on Saturday.
Clint Boling, G, Cincinnati Bengals
Started at left guard in the Bengals’ 19-13 loss at Houston. Boling started every game this season for Cincinnati at left guard.
Orson Charles, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Started at tight end in the Bengals’ 19-13 loss at Houston. Charles played in all 17 games this season for Cincinnati, with seven starts, and had eight catches for 101 yards.
Chris Clemons, DE, Seattle Seahawks
Started at RDE and had two tackles in the Seahawks’ 24-14 win at Washington. Clemons had 65 tackles in the regular season season and tied for ninth in the league with 11.5 sacks. Seattle will play at Atlanta on Sunday.
Akeem Dent, LB, Atlanta Falcons
Dent and the Falcons received a bye in the first round of the playoffs. He had 48 tackles in the regular season for Atlanta, which plays host to Seattle on Sunday.
Dannell Ellerbe, LB, Baltimore Ravens
Started at linebacker and had nine tackles, including one for a loss, in the Ravens’ 24-9 win over Indianapolis. Ellerbe had 92 tackles and 4.5 sacks in the regular season for Baltimore, which will play at Denver on Saturday.
Robert Geathers, DE, Cincinnati Bengals
Started at LDE and had four tackles in the Bengals’ 19-13 loss at Houston. Geathers started every game for Cincinnati in this season season and had 34 tackles.
Kedric Golston, DE, Washington Redskins
Had two tackles in the Redskins’ 24-14 loss to Washington. Golston had 18 tackles this season for Washington.
A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Started at WR and led the team with five catches for 80 yards in the Bengals’ 19-13 loss at Houston. Green, who was voted to the Pro Bowl, finished the regular season tied for fourth in the NFL lead with 11 touchdown catches and was 10th in the league with 84.4 receiving yards per game.
Ben Jones, C, Houston Texans
Started at right guard in the Texans’ 19-13 win over Cincinnati. Jones has played in all 17 games for Houston and started the last 10. The Texans will travel to New England this weekend.
Knowshon Moreno, RB, Denver Broncos
Moreno and the Broncos received a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Moreno has started the last four games at tailback for Denver, which plays host to Baltimore on Saturday.
Dennis Roland, T/TE, Cincinnati Bengals
Saw action in the Bengals’ 19-13 loss at Houston. Roland played in every game this season for Cincinnati.
DeAngelo Tyson, DE, Baltimore Ravens
Had a quarterback hurry in the Ravens’ 24-9 win over Indianapolis. Tyson has 11 tackles in 11 games this season for Baltimore, which will play at Denver on Saturday.
Blair Walsh, K, Minnesota Vikings
Made his only field goal attempt in the Vikings’ 24-10 loss at Green Bay. Walsh, who was voted to the Pro Bowl, set an NFL record with 10 field goals of 50 or more yards this season and finished first in the league with 35 field goals made.
