42Georgia Falls to No. 1 LSU in SEC ChampionshipATLANTA, Ga. --- The Georgia Bulldogs held the top team in the nation, LSU, in check for a half but couldn't hold back the undefeated Tigers falling 42-10 in the SEC Championship. The Bulldog defense held LSU scoreless in the first quarter and without a first down all half. In the half, the Tigers went 0-for-7 in third down conversions as they were able to pile up only 12 total yards. Redshirt sophomore QB Aaron Murray connected with senior TE Aron White for a 12-yard touchdown at the 0:42 mark in the first quarter to put Georgia up 10-0. This improved Murray's school record mark to 33 touchdown passes in a season while White hauled in his fourth of the year. LSU's seven points in the first half came on a 62-yard punt return by Tyrann Mathieu. LSU provided five more scores in the second as Kenny Hilliard rushed for two while Jordan Jefferson completed a pass to Hilliard for another. Alfred Blue ripped off a 48-yard TD run up the middle. LSU's final score came when Morris Claiborne intercepted a Murray pass and returned it 45-yards for a Tiger score.
