Georgia Wins 5th Straight, Edges Vanderbilt, 33-28
Nashville, Tenn. --- Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray passed for a career high 326 yards, completing 22-of-38 passes, as the Bulldogs beat the Vanderbilt Commodores 33-28 in front of a crowd of 36,640 at Vanderbilt Stadium. With the win, Georgia improved to 5-2 on the year, including a 4-1 mark in the Southeastern Conference. Vanderbilt moves to 3-3 on the season and a 1-3 in league play.
"It was a dogfight tonight," head coach Mark Richt said. "Give Vanderbilt credit, that team came to play, took advantage of opportunities and almost won it. We had plenty of opportunities to put the game away, but couldn't quite get it done. We have along way to go but a win's a win and we are still in the hunt for the SEC East title."
