Georgia Sets Record, Beats Florida Atlantic 56-20

Georgia set a school record for yards in a game with 713 and put up 40+ points for the third consecutive game as the Bulldogs defeated Florida Atlantic 56-20 in Athens on Saturday night.

Freshmen running backs Todd Gurley (111 yards, 1 TD) and Keith Marshall (104 yards, 1 TD) both eclipsed 100 yards on the day.

Aaron Murray was 14-19 for 342 yards, a career high in yardage. Murray connected on TD passes to Michael Bennett and Arthur Lynch. Bennett finished the day with 110 yards receiving while Lynch added 73. Murray also rushed for a pair of scores.

This is the first time in Georgia history the Bulldogs have scored more than 40 points in three games to start a season.

Amarlo Herrera also got a touchdown as the linebacker intercepted a pass and ran 35-yards to the endzone.

Christian LeMay scored on a 1-yard keeper.

Russ, the half-brother of Uga VII who has served two terms as interim mascott for the Georgia Bulldogs, has received an announcement by UGA Director of Athletics Greg McGarity. Official ceremonies were conducted prior to the today's game. Russ had served as interim mascott for a total of 23 games.

Georgia hosts Vanderbilt next Saturday at 7:45 p.m. in Sanford Stadium. The game can be seen on ESPN2.
