Georgia Spoils Missouri's SEC Debut with 41-20 Win
Marlon Brown caught a pair of touchdowns and Jarvis Jones forced two turnovers that led to two more scores as the Georgia Bulldogs fought off Missouri 41-20 on the road in what was the Tigers inaugural SEC game.
Georgia trailed 10-9 at the half.
Aaron Murray connected with Brown on a 2-yard score in the second quarter and on a 11-yard score in the third.
Jarvis Jones intercepted a James Franklin pass and returned it to the one yard line that led to a Todd Gurley touchdown plunge. on Missouri's next drive, Jones came free off the right side and sacked Franklin forcing the fumble that was recovered by Jordan Jenkins at the five yard line. Ken Malcome finished off this drive with a 6-yard score.
Tavarres King also added a touchdown on a seven yard reception from Murray.
Georgia plays host to Florida Atlantic next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on CSS.
