Tyler Maloof, a native of Winder, Ga., was named a program coordinator for the offense in 2013 after serving a year as a student assistant.
Maloof was a standout relief pitcher for the Bulldogs before injuries cut short his career. In 2011, he ranked as one of the nation's top closers and tied a school record with 18 saves. He was a 34th round pick of the Cleveland Indians in the 2011 MLB draft and opted to return to Georgia. Maloof concluded his two-year career with a 2-3 mark with 18 saves in 31 appearances. Maloof grew up around the football fields, assisting his father Keith, who has been the head football coach at Norcross High School since 1999.
Maloof played football and baseball at Norcross, helping the Blue Devils advance to the state playoffs in both sports while earning All-Region honors.
The son of Keith and Lisa, Maloof graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance in December, 2012. He is engaged to Dana Lupuloff of Norcross.
