A native of Washington, D.C., Joe Tereshinski has served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach since 1982. He also serves as video and game analysis coordinator, the walk-on program director and summer camp co-coordinator. Since 1998 he has coordinated the Annual Football Gala where fans are hosted by the Georgia players. The night is highlighted by silent auction/dinner and senior recognition.

Tereshinski is an integral part of the pogram that in the past four years has won 42 games, two SEC Eastern Division Championships, one SEC title, and three bowl victories, and three top six finishes in the final national polls. His oldest son, Joe, III, is a junior QB at UGA, while his youngest son, John, is a receiver at Wake Forest.

In his early Bulldog career he also served as an assistant in the areas of offensive line and specialty teams.

The son of former Bulldog football letterman and second team All-SEC performer Joe Tereshinski, Sr., he was an outstanding high school lineman at St. John's College High in Washington, D.C. Tereshinski followed in his dad's footsteps and became a Georgia Bulldog and during his career, he was a two-year starter at center on a pair of Georgia's finest teams. His brother, Wally Tereshinski, was a starting tight end on the 1976 championship team.

The 1975 Bulldogs finished 9-2 earned an invitation to the Cotton Bowl. Tereshinski also started on the 1976 Bulldog team which posted a 10-1 regular season record and won the SEC championship. The '76 team earned an invitation to play in the Sugar Bowl.

During his career, Tereshinski was recipient of the prestigious Coffee County Hustle Award, Wallace Butts Memorial Award, Hugh Hendrix Memorial Award, and Wallace Butts family scholarship.

Tereshinski is married to the former Cathleen Givens of Denver, Colo., and they have two sons, Joe, III, and John Michael
