Joe Tereshinksi has been part of the Bulldog athletic program and football staff since starting at center on the 1975 Cotton Bowl team and 1976 SEC champion team. A native of Washington, D.C., he was named Director of Strength and Conditioning in January, 2011, after serving as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach since 1982.

During his Georgia career he has also served as video and game analysis coordinator, the walk-on program director and summer camp co-coordinator. Since 1998 he coordinated the Annual Football Gala which recognizes the Bulldog seniors. Tereshinski is an integral part of the staff that in the last ten years has led Georgia to 96 victories, two SEC championships, three SEC Eastern Division titles, seven bowl victories, and six top ten finishes in the final national polls including No. 2 in 2007 and No. 3 in 2002.

His oldest son, Joe, III, is a former UGA QB, while his youngest son, John, is a 2008 graduate of Wake Forest where he was a standout receiver.

In his early Bulldog career he also served as an assistant in the areas of offensive line and special teams.

The son of former Bulldog football letterman and second team All-SEC performer Joe Tereshinski, Sr., he was an outstanding high school lineman at St. John's College High in Washington, D.C. Tereshinski followed in his dad's footsteps and became a Georgia Bulldog and during his career, he was a two-year starter at center on a pair of Georgia's finest teams. His brother, Wally Tereshinski, was a starting tight end on the 1976 championship team.

The 1975 Bulldogs finished 9-2 and earned an invitation to the Cotton Bowl. The 1976 Bulldog team posted a 10-1 regular season record, won the SEC championship, and earned an invitation to play in the Sugar Bowl.

During his career, Tereshinski was recipient of the prestigious Coffee County Hustle Award, Wallace Butts Memorial Award, Hugh Hendrix Memorial Award, and Wallace Butts family scholarship.

The Tereshinski family owns the distinction of having five members play major college football, all of whom played on conference championship teams: Joe, Sr., 1946; Joe, Jr., and Wally, 1976; Joe, III, 2002 and 2005, all at Georgia; and John, 2006, Wake Forest ACC champions.

Tereshinski is married to the former Cathleen Givens of Denver, Colo.
