High School: Central...As a senior, named AAAA All-State first team by the the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Georgia Sports Writers Association...named one of the Top 50 in Georgia by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution....named All-Middle Georgia first team as a junior and senior....also first team All-City...named team's captain for his senior season...as a senior recorded 105 tackles and two interceptions...also played on the Central varsity basketball squad and threw the shot put for track team...selected to play in 1998 Georgia-Florida All-Star Game...High School Coach: Tom Simonton.

College: 1998 - Redshirted.

1999 - Outstanding spring at LB...recorded five tackles, one tackle-for-loss, one pass break-up, and two QB sacks in spring G-Day game...listed at number two MLB at conclusion of spring drills...played in 10 games during '99 season recording 18 total tackles and two tackles-for-loss....played in Georgia's 28-25 come-from-behind overtime victory over Purdue in the Outback Bowl, the biggest comeback in bowl history (from 0-25 deficit) and the first major sporting event of the 21st century (11:07 a.m., Jan. 1, 2000).

2000 -- Solid spring...listed as number two at SLB position at conclusion of spring drills....started 10 games for the Bulldogs finishing as the team's leading tackler with 96 total tackles....best games vs. Kentucky (16 tackles), vs. Georgia Southern (13 tackles), and vs. Tennessee and Auburn (10 tackles each)...recorded six tackles in Georgia's 37-14 victory over Virginia in the 2000 Oahu Bowl.

2001 -- Solid spring which included three tackles in annual spring G-Day game...listed as number one MLB at conclusion of spring drills...recipient of I.V. Chandler Memorial Football Scholarship....ed the Bulldogs in combined tackles for the second consecutive season with 99, including 59 solos...led all Bulldog defenders with 11 combined tackles, including one tackle for loss (-1) vs. South Carolina (Sept. 8)...led the Bulldog defense in upset at Tennessee (Oct. 6) with 14 combined stops, including nine unassisted, and also broke up one pass...was the team?s second-leading defender at Vanderbilt (Oct. 13), recording 12 combined tackles, including one tackle for loss (-2)...was the team?s second-leading defender vs. Auburn (Nov. 10), accounting for 13 combined tackles, including seven solo stops...named Associated Press All-SEC honorable mention....selected as the 2001 defensive team MVP...led Georgia in tackles with 12 in 2001 Music City Bowl vs. Boston College.

2002 - Recorded three tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and one sack in annual spring G-Day game....recipient of Best All-Around Defensive Player Award and the Junkyard Dog Award for outstanding spring performance....listed as number one MLB at conclusion of spring drills.... recipient of Vincent J. and Barbara Dooley Endowed Football Scholarship....selected pre-season second team All-SEC by sportswriters at SEC Football Media Days.... named to the preliminary list of 67 candidates for this year's Butkus Award...became first player since Ben Zambiasi in 1975-76-77 to lead the Bulldogs in tackles three consecutive seasons...led team in tackles in SEC Championship game victory over Arkansas (10 tackles, 2 TFL)....other best games vs. Florida (14 tackles), South Carolina (11 tackles), and Auburn (10 tackles).....member of team that won Georgia's first SEC championship in 20 years, defeated FSU for Nokia Sugar Bowl title, set school record for most victories in a season (13), and finished with a final national ranking of No. 3......part of defense that finished first in the SEC and fourth nationally in Scoring Defense (15.1 ppg), first in the SEC in Red Zone Defense (58.8%), second in the SEC and 19th nationally in Rushing Defense (114.0 ypg), fourth in the SEC and 15th nationally in Total Defense (303.5 ypg), and allowed only 30 total second half points in the final seven games of the season....elected overall team captain by teammates at conclusion of season....named to Coaches All-SEC second team....Major: Special Education.
