High School: Rockmart...2002 The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Top 50 in Georgia, Class AA All-State Honorable Mention...PREPSTAR All-Region...Rome News Tribune First Team All-Area...Captain and two-year MVP winner at Rockmart...elected by high school teammates to Rockmart Leadership Committee...three-year starter...as a senior, rushed for 1,009 yards and compiled 35 tackles and one interception on defense...also had 1,003 punting yards with an average of 33.4 yards per punt and long punt of 60 yards...High School Coach: Dan Duff.

Prep School: 2003 -- Hargrave Military Academy...rushed for 653 yards on 56 carries and four touchdowns...Prep School Coach: Robert Prunty.

College: 2004 -- Enrolled at UGA in January, '04, and participated in spring drills.....caught coaches' attention at tailback position....carried eight times for 43 yards in annual spring G-Day game....recipient of the Porter Otis Payne Endowed Football Scholarship...ranked second on the team with 631 yards rushing with four touchdowns...had 100-yard games against Georgia Southern (135), LSU (109), Vanderbilt (127) and Florida (103)...became the first freshman running back to start at Georgia in a season-opener since 1943...was the first Bulldog to rush for 100 yards since Musa Smith in the 2003 Sugar Bowl...first Bulldog to rush for three touchdowns in a game since 2001...lung, knee, ankle and hand injuries limited talented tailback throughout the season...named recipient of the Offensive Newcomer of the Year Award at the conclusion of the '04 season.....12 carries for 61 yards in 2005 Outback Bowl victory over Wisconsin....part of team that posted 42-10 record from 2001-04 (sixth best in the country), three straight seasons of 10 or more wins, three straight bowl victories, and three consecutive national top six finishes.

2005 -- Rushed for 38 yards on nine carries in annual spring G-Day game...named Most Consistent Running Back following spring drills...selected to Doak Walker Award Watch List....scored his first receiving touchdown on a 20-yard pass from D.J. Shockley against Boise State...ran for his first 100-yard game of 2005 and the fifth of his career after rushing for 109 yards against Louisiana-Monroe...had the second TD reception of his career versus Mississippi State...broke off a season-long 52-yard touchdown run against Kentucky...Best Game - 109 rushing yards on 9 carries vs. La.Mon....recipient of David C. Cooper Family Football Scholarship. (CAREER-HIGH YDS, TDs: 135, 3 vs. G. Southern - 9/4/04 - Five games with 100+ yards rushing)....Major: Housing.
