Stephens County...USA Today All-USA Honorable Mention...SuperPrep preseason All-Dixie...named to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super Southern 100 and Top 50 in Georgia...Georgia Sports Writers Association First-Team Class AAA All-State...earned All-Northeast Georgia recognition from The Anderson Independent and Athens Daily News in 1997 and '98...had 63 tackles, two interceptions and ran for 172 yards on 11 carries as a junior...injured for part of senior season, but had 29 carries for 230 yards and six TDs on limited offensive playing time and two interceptions on defense...also runs the 100 meters for the track team...played in 1999 Georgia-Florida high school all-star game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.... High School Coach: Jay Russell.

1999 --

2000 -- Listed as number two FS at conclusion of spring drills....played in all 11 regular season games and was also one of the team's top special teams tacklers with seven total tackles...recovered fumble for TD and recorded five tackles in Georgia's 37-14 victory over Virginia in the 2000 Oahu Bowl.

2001 -- Missed spring drills while recovering from shoulder surgery but listed as number three FS at conclusion of spring drills...played in every game with one start...played big down the stretch with three, four and five tackles vs. Ole Miss, Tech and Houston, respectively...had three pass breakups in the secondary...started and recorded five tackles in 2001 Music City Bowl vs. Boston College.

2002 - Recorded three tackles in annual spring G-Day game.....listed as number one FS at conclusion of spring drills....recipient of Tommy reeder Endowed Football Scholarship....started all 14 games during '02 season....suffered broken wrist vs. S.C., but cast enabled him to play and recorded interceptions vs. Northwestern State and New Mexico St......best games vs. Florida (12 tackles) and vs. Tennessee and Ole Miss (9 tackles each)....SEC Coaches All-SEC second team....member of team that won Georgia's first SEC championship in 20 years, defeated FSU for Nokia Sugar Bowl title, set school record for most victories in a season (13), and finished with a final national ranking of No. 3......part of defense that finished first in the SEC and fourth nationally in Scoring Defense (15.1 ppg), first in the SEC in Red Zone Defense (58.8%), second in the SEC and 19th nationally in Rushing Defense (114.0 ypg), fourth in the SEC and 15th nationally in Total Defense (303.5 ypg), and allowed only 30 total second half points in the final seven games of the season.

2003 -- Slated as Georgia's starting ROV for 2003, he saw his only action of the season at LSU before being sidelined by a stress fracture...the fracture also kept him out of the season's first three games. ....Major: Social Work.
