High School: Griffin...named AAAA-All Region first team...nominated for Region MVP by GACA...played in three state playoff games...four year letterman, three year starter...on defense his senior season recorded 49 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions, four pass break-ups, one fumble recovery and one caused fumble...as a senior on offense rushed for 80 yards on 10 carries...caught 12 passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns...was also a member of the track team...High School Coach: Daryl Jones.

College: 2000 -- Surprise starter in season opener vs. Georgia Southern when regular starter Boss Bailey suffered knee injury on opening kickoff...responded with seven tackles and one QB pressure...suffered shoulder injury early in season which sidelined him for several games....recorded three tackles in Georgia's 37-14 victory over Virginia in the 2000 Oahu Bowl....

2001 --Solid spring which included one tackle and one pass deflection in annual spring G-Day game....listed as number two SLB at conclusion of spring drills...played in all 11 games with three starts...season high was an eight-tackle game against Florida in Jacksonville...also had six-tackle games vs. Tennessee, Auburn and Housotn....recorded seven tackles in 2001 Music City Bowl vs. Boston College.

2002 -- Recorded four tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and forced one fumble in annual spring G-Day game....recipient of spring award as the Most Improved Linebacker....listed as number one WLB at conclusion of spring drills....played in 12 games including 10 starts....best games vs. South Carolina (8 tackles and vs. Vandy (6 tackles, 1 sack)....member of team that won Georgia's first SEC championship in 20 years, defeated FSU for Nokia Sugar Bowl title, set school record for most victories in a season (13), and finished with a final national ranking of No. 3......part of defense that finished first in the SEC and fourth nationally in Scoring Defense (15.1 ppg), first in the SEC in Red Zone Defense (58.8%), second in the SEC and 19th nationally in Rushing Defense (114.0 ypg), fourth in the SEC and 15th nationally in Total Defense (303.5 ypg), and allowed only 30 total second half points in the final seven games of the season......decided to forego final year of elibility and enter NFL draft in April, 2003....Major: Child and Family Development.
