High School: Hawkinsville...The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Class A Defensive Player of the Year, Super 11, Super Southern 100 and Class A All-State.....Georgia Sportswriters Association Class A All-State....The Macon Telegraph All-Middle Georgia.....named Region 4A Player of the Year by region coaches.....TheInsiders.com All-America first team, National Hot 100, All-South first team, South Hot 100...Rivals.com All-American, Rivals 100 and #4 DE in the country.....PrepStar Dream Team 100.....participated in the GACA North-South All-Star game.....as a senior, recorded 16 sacks and 30 QB Pressures while leading Hawkinsville to the Class A State Championship...returned an interception 83 yards for a touchdown.....as a junior earned Class A All-State honorable mention and All-Area honors.....also played forward on the basketball team. College: 2004 --- Saw action in ten games at defensive end...made six tackles, three solo...registered a sack for an eight-yard loss and another tackle for a loss of one yard...forced a fumble...logged four quarterback pressures....part of team that posted 42-10 record from 2001-04 (sixth best in the country), three straight seasons of 10 or more wins, three straight bowl victories, and three consecutive national top six finishes.
2005 -- Named Most Improved Defensive Lineman following spring drills... notched his first and second sacks of the season against South Carolina...scored his first career touchdown after recovering a fumble in the end zone against Louisiana-Monroe...accounted for a sack and a fumble recovery on the same play versus Tennessee...third on the team with four...Best Game - 4 tackles, 1 sack vs. Arkansas...2006 - Recorded five tackles and two QB sacks in annual spring G-Day game....named Best All-Around Defensive Player at conclusion of spring drills... (CAREER-HIGH TCKLS: 4 vs. Arkansas - 10/22/05).
