Brooks serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations and as the sport facilitator for football after working with football operations. He is in charge of scheduling future games as well as coordinating team travel. His responsibilities also include assisting with the development and management of facilities and new construction projects for the athletic association.
Brooks came to UGA from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2008 after serving as Director of Football Operations. He began at ULM as a graduate assistant where he helped mentor current NFL safety, Chris Harris (Chicago Bears). He was promoted to Director of Football Operations in 2004, and in 2007 ULM became bowl eligible for the first time in school history.
Brooks gained experience as a student at LSU, working as an equipment manager and a student assistant coach. During his four years at LSU, the Tigers participated in the 2000 Peach Bowl, 2002 Sugar Bowl, and won the 2001 Southeastern Conference championship.
A native of Hammond, La., he graduated from LSU in 2002 with a degree in Kinesiology. He and his wife, the former Lillie Harrell, have twin sons, Jackson and James, born in July of 2009.
