Ben Brandenburg was promoted to full-time University of Georgia football recruiting assistant in summer of 2011 after previously serving as a graduate assistant in the Bulldogs' recruiting office.
A native of Augusta, Ga., Brandenburg began working for the UGA Athletic Association as a sports communications intern in 2007. He later served as an office assistant for the director of football operations during the 2009 season and was a defensive student assistant coach for the Georgia football team from January 2009 - March 2010. He was then hired as the recruiting graduate assistant before being promoted to the full-time assistant position in June 2011.
As recruiting assistant, Brandenburg helps coordinate the on-campus recruiting efforts through travel, film, and visits.
Brandenburg received a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication (public relations) from UGA's Grady College in 2009 and also minored in History. He earned his master's degree in social studies education from Georgia in 2012.
A 2005 graduate of Lakeside High School in Evans, Ga, Brandenburg is married to the former Mobley Moss of Augusta, Ga. She teaches first grade at Rocky Branch Elementary School in Watkinsville, Ga.
