Assistant Strength and Conditioning

Rex Bradberry, who was an intern from 2002-03 and a graduate assistant from 2003-10, joined the staff as a full-time strength and conditioning coach and team nutritionist in April 2010. Bradberry has assisted the strength staff with the design and implementation of programs for the football team and has taught the character education curriculum for the freshman football players. He also was the director of the strength and conditioning for the men's golf team that won the 2003 SEC title and the 2005 national championship.

Bradberry also has NFL experience. He served as the personal trainer for ex-Bulldog David Pollack in Cincinnati in 2006, and he trains Georgia players for the NFL Combine each winter.

Bradberry earned his bachelor's degree in Health Education and Exercise Science from Georgia College and State University in 2002. He earned his Master's degree in Sports Studies from Georgia in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Kinesiology from UGA in 2010. His research interests include injury prevention, nutrition and speed development. He serves as a guest lecturer for the Kinesiology department for several undergraduate and graduate classes.

A native of Watkinsville, Bradberry is a graduate of Oconee County High School where he played football, baseball and basketball and won several school and area awards. He came to Georgia in 2001 as a preferredwalk-on under former coach Jim Donnan.
