ATHENS ---- Georgia senior Gerald Robinson was named to the Coaches' Pre-Season All-Southeastern Conference Second Team, as voted by the league's 12 head coaches and announced by the SEC on Wednesday.
Robinson begins his second season with the Bulldogs this Friday in their opener against Wofford. The Nashville, Tenn., native averaged 12.2 points and 4.0 assists as a junior last season after transferring to UGA from Tennessee State. He is Georgia's top returning scorer this season. Robinson has also completed his work on his undergraduate degree and will play his final season while working toward a Master's degree in Adult Education.
A 6-1, 180-pound guard, Robinson is among 16 players named by the coaches to their pre-season All-SEC teams.
