CHARLESTON, S.C.--The Georgia men's basketball team fell short against Nebraska, losing 73-65 Sunday in its final game of the Charleston Classic.

Charles Mann paced Georgia offensively with 16 points. Brandon Morris also contributed a career-high 14 points. Donte' Williamsled the Bulldogs on the glass with 12 rebounds

"We're just not good enough yet," said head coach Mark Fox. "We're not complete enough to beat good teams. We left a lot of points at the foul line tonight in a critical time late in the second half. When you do that, you have to be perfect at the other end and we're not good enough defensively or on the glass to be perfect down there.

"I'm disappointed in our results here. There's no way to hide the fact that we haven't gotten it done with this group yet, but they're going to continue to grow and improve. Now we can go back to work. We just weren't ready to play really good teams and we played four in a row and now we've got to get better."

Georgia negated Nebraska's first half run by holding the Cornhuskers scoreless during a 7-0 run of its own to end the half enter the locker room down only three, 34-31.

Just minutes into the second half, the Bulldogs capped a 5-0 run and took a 40-38 lead with a Marcus Thorntonthree-pointer. Both teams traded baskets, before Nebraska got hot and rushed to a 59-54 lead with five minutes remaining in the game. The Bulldogs pulled within four after a Djurisic three-pointer with four minutes remaining, but the Cornhusker defense only allowed one more Bulldog field goal and shot 4-of-6 from the charity stripe in the game's final two minutes to seal the victory.

Terran Petteway led the way for the Cornhuskers with 15 points. He was one of four Nebraska players to score in doubles-figures.

Georgia will return home to square off with Appalachian State on Friday. The game will tip-off at 5 p.m. and can be seen on CSS. For ticket information, go to
