Freshman

  • Experienced the ups-and-downs of a typical talented freshman season: moments of brilliance tempered by times of strife and frustration.
  • Best effort of SEC schedule came Feb. 9 at Arkansas, where he pumped in 21 points.
  • Season-high 24 points vs. Wofford included a tying 3-pointer with just seven seconds left in regulation.
  • Scored just four points in Georgia's win over Oregon State, but all four came in the latter stages of overtime.
  • By far the team's most accurate free throw shooter, having made 91 percent of his 67 tries. Fell just below the minimum standard to qualify for SEC and national rankings. Had he qualified, he would have ranked 4th among all NCAA Division I players in FT percentage. He was the first UGA player since Joe Ward in 1984 to make over 90 percent of a minimum of 50 attempts.
  • In addition to his physical resemblance, his 2-handed shooting style is also eerily like his father's.

  • Talented prospect most likely at the `2' guard position.
  • Made his name as an outstanding scorer at the prep level.
  • Father Andrew Toney played eight seasons with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, including their 1983 championship season.

    High School (Brookwood):

  • Coach: Craig Witmer
  • One of the state's top senior prospects.
  • Averaged 26.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in the 2004 season for Brookwood, which reached the Georgia Class AAAAA state tournament Round of 16. Shot 56 percent from the field, 43 percent from 3-point range.
  • Named to the Class 5A All-State team in Georgia by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Atlanta Tipoff Club the past two years
  • Rated the 84th among the country's top 150 prospects by RivalsHoops.com, an Internet-based recruiting service.
  • Played summer basketball for the successful Georgia Stars AAU program.
