Bulldog Fast Facts:
*The Bulldogs (17-8, 3-3 SEC) begin a four-game homestand Tuesday with Clemson (11-11) before facing a red-hot Kentucky squad that is ranked as high as No. 2 nationally with a 24-1 mark, 5-1 in SEC.

*Georgia is batting .284 as a team with a 2.54 ERA and a .978 Fielding Percentage. In SEC action, the Bulldogs are batting .299 with a 2.39 ERA and a .979 Fielding Percentage.

*Freshman RHP David Sosebee (2-0, 0.79 ERA) will get the start Tuesday against Clemson. The Tigers counter with freshman RHP Daniel Gossett (1-2, 6.60 ERA).

*In records dating back to 1950, Clemson leads the series 71-48-1. The Tigers have won four in a row in the series while Georgia won four straight from 2008-09. Clemson is batting .265 with a 3.61 ERA and a .968 Fielding Percentage.

*Freshman left fielder Hunter Cole (.319-3-12) owns a career-best eight-game hitting streak. He is batting .429-1-2 in SEC action

*Georgia is coming off its first road series of the year. It began with a 1-0 victory over Vanderbilt, Georgia's fifth shutout of the season. It was only the third time in school history that the Bulldogs blanked an SEC team 1-0 on the road in their park, the last time coming in 1991 at Ole Miss. The Bulldogs were in line for a series win against the Commodores before letting games two and three get away late. Vanderbilt rallied for three unearned runs in the ninth to win Saturday 5-4 and then scored four two-out runs in the eighth Sunday to take the series.

*For the second straight Friday night, Georgia ace Alex Wood (3-1, 2.00 ERA) saw his start halted by Mother Nature. He has pitched a combined 8.1 scoreless innings in that span before one-hour rain/lightning delays cut short his outings each time.

*Junior left-hander Blake Dieterich (3-1, 0.93 ERA, 4 SV) has assumed the closer role this season with Tyler Maloof sidelined with a lat injury. He had a save in Friday's 1-0 road win over Vanderbilt and then had his first blown save and got the loss in game two of the series.
