Georgia aims to snap an eight-game losing streak on Tuesday when it plays host to Clemson (15-8). On Wednesday, the Bulldogs travel to Clemson. Both games will be televised by CSS with first pitch slated for 7:05 p.m. Georgia is batting .287 overall with a 4.79 ERA and a .976 fielding percentage.

Georgia and Clemson have been squaring off in baseball since 1900. The Bulldogs hold a 114-102-2 edge in the series. Most recently, there have been two regular season meetings annually, one on each campus. From 2007-11, one team swept the series (Clemson in 2007, ’10-’11, Georgia in 2008 & ’09) while in 2012, the road team emerged with a victory (Clemson 10-5 in Athens, Bulldogs 8-7 in Clemson).  In the win, Georgia erased an early 7-2 deficit and the winning run scored on a wild pitch as part of a six-run outburst in the fifth inning.

*Senior shortstop Kyle Farmer (.358-0-26) has a 10-game hitting streak. He ranks among the SEC leaders in RBI (26) and doubles (10) while fielding .973. In 182 career starts at shortstop, Farmer is fielding .966.

*Senior third baseman Curt Powell, one of the league’s top hitters, is batting .400 overall including .364 in SEC action. Powell, who has started all 24 games, has a hit in 19 of the past 20 games and reached bases safely in 20 straight contests.

*Sophomore Luke Crumley (1-3, 7.85 ERA) gets the start Tuesday. He began the year as the Sunday starter but pitched out of the bullpen against Alabama this past weekend. He tossed two scoreless innings against the Tide. His win this year came against UAB on March 3 (5 IP, 5H, 0R, 0BB, 3K). Wednesday’s starter is TBA. Crumley was the losing pitcher out of the bullpen last year in Athens against the Tigers (1.2 IP, 2H, 1R, 2BB, 1K).

Sophomore catcher Garrett Boulware is enjoying a fine season, leading the club at .370-4-23. Senior centerfielder Thomas Brittle is next at .321-1-9 plus he has a team-high nine stolen bases in 11 attempts. Clemson will start freshman left-hander Matthew Crownover (2-0, 3.57 ERA) on Tuesday.
