2011 (Junior): Selected in the 33rd round by the Texas Rangers in the 2011 MLB Draft

*Appeared in 11 games with 10 starts (5-CF, 5-LF) before sustaining a serious neck injury in an outfield collision with teammate Zach Cone in a game against #5 Florida State on March 6; Had neck surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens to stabilize his spine; On March 11, transferred to Shepherd Center in Atlanta; On May 24, graduated from in-patient care to the "Day Program" at Shepherd Center where he continues his recovery

*Joined teammates in the dugout for Georgia's 6-4 win over No. 9 Georgia Tech at Turner Field in Atlanta on April 26 and the SEC Tournament semifinal games against #3 Florida on May 28 at Regions Park in Hoover, Ala.

*Notched game-winning RBI in 2-1 victory over #5 Florida State in Athens on March 5th, delivering a sacrifice fly in the 7th inning following a leadoff triple by Peter Verdin

*Batted .335 with 29 RBI including .327 with 12 RBI in SEC action
*Hit .500 over the final 13 games, going 28-for-56 to raise final batting average by 64 points
*Posted a .983 fielding percentage and ended the year playing mostly centerfield

*Career-high four RBI, going 2-for-5 in season opening win over Baylor in Waco, Texas

*Participated in Perfect Game Showcase and clocked as one of the fastest players
