2004: Helped the Bulldogs to a second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Championships, recording two top 15 finishes for the year...Clocked a career-best 30:32.56 in the 10K at the NCAA Regional meet, which was good for a 20th-place finish and All-Region honors...Finished in second place at the Gator Invitational. Time of 25:29.8 which was just behind teammate Simon Ngata, who won the 8K race with a time of 25:29.3

2003: Competed in six races, posting a second-place finish in his first collegiate race at Western Carolina...Also finished 14th at the NCAA South Regional competition, earning All-Region honors in helping the Bulldogs to their first-ever Regional title and NCAA appearance...Qualified for U.S. Junior Team which competed in Belgim at the World Cross Country Championships.

High School: Colorado 2002 high school cross country state champion...Set high school course record en-route to state championship...Was a two-time AAAAA state champion in the mile run...Was also 2002 state runner-up in the two-mile.

Personal: Born February 15, 1985...Son of Greg and Cheryl Burrell...Majoring in Criminal Justice...During his spare time in high school, played the drums in a band
