WALNUT, Calif. --- Senior Nicole DiMercurio ran a career-best time in the 10,000 meters late Thursday night to crank up Georgia track and field’s action at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.

DiMercurio, a native of Suwanee, Ga., vaulted from eighth to seventh in the school record books after running a 34:55.81, which is the sixth-best time in the Southeastern Conference this year.  DiMercurio finished eighth overall in the race and was the fifth collegiate finisher.

Freshman Alex Larsson competes in the men’s hammer throw at 1 p.m. ET to start the Bulldogs’ day on Friday.
