2014: Outdoor - Won the season-opening Baldy Castillo Invitational after reaching 60 feet, 7 ¼ inches in the shot put...Led his teammates with a top collegiate finish (second overall, finishing behind Reese Hoffa) with a mark of 61-11.50 at the Spec Towns Invite...Finished sixth at the Mt. 2013: Outdoor - Was named a Second Team All-American after finishing 11th in the shot put with a top throw of 60 feet, 8 inches at the NCAA Championships...Had the nation's longest throw from the NCAA Prelims after winning the East meet with a career-best effort of 63-9...Finished third in the shot put with a top effort of 61-9.75 at the SEC Championships...Won the Drake Relays after launching his sixth and final throw 62-0.50...Won the War Eagle Invite with a shot put toss of 61-5....Earned runner-up honors in the shot put at the Spec Towns Invite with a season-best throw of 62-5.25...Was second out of the collegiate competitors (fourth overall) at the Florida Relays after having a mark of 61-6.25...Also was sixth in the discus at the Florida meet with a season-best mark of 164-3...Posted a 4.0 cumulative GPA during the 2012-13 academic year.
2013 - Indoor: Won his first meet with the Bulldogs after reaching 61 feet, 4 ¼ inches at the Auburn Invite...Picked up a personal-best mark of 62-6.75 for second place in the shot put at the Razorback Invite...Finished in second at the Akron Invite with a top effort of 60-4...Hit a personal-best mark of 62-10 to win the shot at the VT Elite Meet...Reached 62-5.75 for third place in the shot put at the SEC Championships...Competed at his first NCAA Championships as a Bulldog and took 10th for a Second Team All-America certificate after reaching 60-7.75.
